My new sculpture cycle “I am Black” begins with a skull. I am black when gay, lesbian, refugee, woman ...!
It is no less absurd to show a black skull than to categorize people based on personal and intellectual differences, skin colour, or other sub-characteristics. This sculpture is the result of the ongoing discrimination in my home country, forced by the current political situation.
Currently, zones are loudly declared free of "..." and that in a country famous for the saddest ghettos during the Nazi era. It always begins with a zone devoid of "..." if it does not seem compatible with the impressive majority!
